Message of the Day – Irony

Dick Durbin

From the mouth of U.S. Senator Dick Durbin in an editorial endorsement interview by the Daily & Northwest Herald, plus the Southern Illinois Local Media Group:

“This is the basic campaign message for President Trump’s reelection campaign ‘Be afraid. Be very afraid.'”

Perhaps also of interest is the second- or third-report last weekend from the Willie Wilson for U.S. Senate campaign, that Republican Mark Curran was two points ahead of Durbin.

If Wilson, who did quite well in black wards during the Chicago mayoral election, pulls enough inner city votes away from Durbin, Curren might win.

  1. โ€œIf Wilson, who did quite well in black wards during the Chicago mayoral election, pulls enough inner city votes away from Durbin, Curren might winโ€

That would be a great thing๐ŸŒž

  2. Yep. I live for the day Dirtbag Durbin has that smarmy grin slapped off his face.

And BTW Trump is not afraid of cowards like Durbin, and he proves it every day.

  3. That would be an amazing thing to see, Durbin out and Illinois electing a republican senator.

Is Curran actually ahead by 2 points?

  4. Cheat by mail will see to that scenario, the scenario of Curran winning election night.

My question: how can anybody vote before the first debate?

What happens if Biden refuses to debate under some ruse they’re figuring out right now.

Maybe he’ll say the evil Ruth called him right before her hell-bound trip and said ‘Joe don’t debate, you’re too good to deal w/ Trump’s May lies.

    Don’t make it a circus.”

  5. Where can I find this poll or should I just accept “Willie Wilson’s campaign said so”?

Because I highly doubt Curran is leading Durbin.

Do you know how many black votes Wilson would have to get to cause Durbin to lose?

Durbin beat Oberweis by about 10 points in 2014 (which was a terrible year for Democrats).

What percent of the total vote in Illinois is black?

Blacks make up what like 14 percent of the Illinois population, and don’t they vote at a lower rate than whites?

So, sure, maybe if Willie Wilson gets 80 percent of the black vote (in the whole state, not just in the “inner city”), Curran could win.

    Curran has no chance.

The only unknowns in this race are whether Wilson can get 5 percent of the vote and whether the Willie Wilson Party will be capitalized on in 2022.

  6. Good riddance to the jerk dick. Anybody would be better than him. He hangs out in the Senate with people like Whitehouse and Blumenthal. The latter falsely claimed that he had served in the US Military in Viet Nam. A piece of garbage. Another Democrat who hung out in that Senate clique was the lousy comedian from Minn who became a Senator, Al Franken, and then had to resign because he had violated women.

Speaking of violating women, the Democrats and the mostly left wing media have given a pass to doofus dementia Joe Biden regarding a former woman staffer who claimed that Joe violated her.

Expect that Dick and his clique, including Kamala will be more vicious in their questioning and attacks at Senate hearings for Trump’s Supreme Court nominee than they were for Kavanaugh.

  7. If we Blacks wanted a US Senator badly, we would have supported LeAlan Jones (Green Party, 2010) or supported Roland Burris that year, who only wanted to be (interim) US Senator. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Little Eddie, can you tell us where Lake Geneva is ?
    Asking for a friend. ๐Ÿ˜

  9. Among all the things wrong with trickie Dickie, Curran needs to make a point of is Dickie’s personal mission to shut own “for-profit” colleges.

Specifically, ITT on the South side of Chicago – a college that served that area for more than 8 decades, along with University of Phoenix and others.

He did so to protect his cronies with bloated tenure / pensions at State Schools as enrollment was declining exponentially.

The for profit schools were actually teaching “real-world” situations / experience and their graduates were far better prepared to get jobs upon graduation.

They also had the flexibility to hold a full-time job, not have to pay room and board, etc.

As a result of shutting down these schools, thousands lost jobs, including my daughter (twice) who was a Director level, and also graduated from UoP, my son graduated from UoP as well.

In fact, my Son attended a State school in Iowa for almost 3 years and transferred so he could work and complete school.

He specifically told me that he experienced “real world” examples that he could actually use in his career.

As a result of Trickie Dickie’s misguided mission, millions of dollars of student loan debt was wiped away from students and put on the taxpayers backs once again!

  10. ITT existed 1969-2016, not 8 decades. It went bankrupt. I’m glad those bogus schools are gone. ๐Ÿ˜

  11. +1 Honest Abe, his day is a coming of screwing the tax payer… another one with some Karma due ’em..
