Today, take a look at this Trump 2020 sign on a steep hill with the Fox River Grove ski jump in the background.
Someone in Fox River Grove was not pleased.
Here is what Village Hall emailed:
On late Saturday or early Sunday morning, under the cover of darkness, irresponsible individuals defaced Fox River Grove’s sled hill at Picnic Grove Park.
The Village of Fox River Grove prohibits political messages on public property and condemns the defacing of such.
If you have information regarding the persons who did this, please contact the Fox River Grove Police Department (847-639-2411).

The name and year, “Trump 2020”, is not defacing.
Mayors of New York and Washington DC actually did allow defacing with yellow paint on their streets something with the word lives.
So, precedent was set by the Democrats and the media and other Democrats thought that yellow paint on the street pavement was fine.
Wouldn’t this constitute criminal damage to property in violation of 720 ILCS 5/21-1(a)(1) ?

I have been up on Trump sled hill days after to see that work of art up close, and the spray paint did not do any real damage, that couldn’t be completely mowed/cleaned off later. The vandals likely with golf carts that did donuts and burn outs, tearing up the painted grass in an attempt to deface the TRUMP 2020 message, are the only ones that did any real property damage.
