How Did Allen Skillicorn Win the Primary against Carolyn Schofield?

That’s the question the answer to which I have been seeking…especially in view of his virtually invisible campaign this fall.

I don’t think he has even put out the signs that he must have stored.

Here is what GOP primary opponent Carolyn Schofield thinks:

“‘Correcting’ mentioned a few days ago about YAL and Operation Win At the Door/Make Liberty Win not reporting anything for Skillicorn.

“I mentioned this to several people back just after the primary and forgot about it until seeing that comment.

“Just doubled checked and I cannot find any reporting anywhere.

“From what I can find they pay there people $2000 a month plus housing.

“They state that they will bring people in to help the last month of the campaign and visit each voter 3 times.

“From what I saw they had at least 4 guys in the last month distributing the literature which stated it was paid or by Make Liberty Win.

“They came to my house at least twice that I personally answered the door for.

“So from my calculations that is $8000 in wages plus housing for 4 and printing of all those materials.

“Seems like you would need to report that.

“Doesn’t anyone care about campaign finance law anymore?

“Guess the now defunct Liberty Principles PAC set the bar.”

How Did Allen Skillicorn Win the Primary against Carolyn Schofield? — 19 Comments

  1. Skillicorn won because Schofield was a weak candidate. She is becoming McHenry County’s Harold Stassen.

  2. They pay for gas cards too.

Not to downplay legalities, but this is a MAJOR COPE from Carolyn Schofield.

YAL is NOT the reason Skillicorn won (though I don’t deny that Skillicorn benefited from their presence).

Look at the 2020 primary election numbers.

According to Ballotpedia, Skillicorn got 69.7 percent of the vote and Schofield got a measly 30.3.

He got MORE THAN DOUBLE WHAT SHE GOT!

She got beaten like a government mule!

    Skillicorn didn’t even need YAL.

    Schofield got yeeted. ^_^ Lol

Too bad, Carolyn. The voters said no to you. :p

No, they don’t. If they did the Illinois Integrity fund would have been investigated by the state.

Interesting that she didn’t mention that one….

  4. Everything is going down the drain. Elections in ILL are rigged.

  5. He won because enough people understood Carolyn was a RINO fraud and fru-fru narcissistic witch.

  6. Yeah, she’s an idiot.

First, it “their”, not “there”. No wonder she lost.

Second, if $8000 sunk her, she didn’t have a chance against serious candidates.

Schofield would probably lose if she ran unopposed.

    Go away.

    Loser.

  7. I came to the comments to give my short and simple answer to this mystery and find it’s been said.

She’s just that bad of a choice.

Secondly, is Schofield still campaigning against an opponent she already lost to?

She has done this in the past after losing other primaries.

She’ll continue to bash her primary opponent of the same party long after the election.

Hmmm, wondering why she doesn’t recieve more party support?

Shut up Carolyn and put a Skillicorn sign in your yard to show support for your fellow Republican candidate.

  8. Carolyn is another Mike Shorten. Not too bright, unsuccessful in life, not very likeable, waiting around for her number to be called. No matter how many times you flush, she’ll still be stuck to the bowl waiting to be appointed to a vacant seat or to get lucky with an uncontested election.

Cal, the problem with your thinking here is that you are working backwards.

NOW you doubt Skillicorn as a candidate, but before the primary people weren’t saying he had given up or lost interest.

If I recall correctly, that started in the summer — maybe June or July (John Lopez might know).

You are questioning how Skillicorn could have won based on what you know now and applying it backwards through time, but what you know now was just not an issue for Skillicorn during the primary.

“Here is what GOP primary opponent Carolyn Schofield thinks:”

And as you can see from the comments, what Carolyn Schofield thinks and reality are quite different.

  10. Skillicorn should be thanking his lucky stars that he and Schofield weren’t squared of in a Dr. Seuss reading contest… or an 8-year old humor contest…

Carolyn would have eaten his lunch for him and sent him home hungry!

  11. I disagree that Schofield is like Shorten. He’s 1000% better.

It’s crazy I guess, but because Schofield is a zero, Shorten can’t be a thousand times better, because that would be 1000 x 0 = 0.

Let’s just say he’s light years better than that stinky skank.

  12. Correcting is accurate, the outward signs of Skillicorn’s burnout were visibly present in the July time period, and that’s going by the last time he put cash into his Taxpayers for Skillicorn political committee.

By next week, his 3rd quarter financials will be public, and we’ll see if his spending reconfirms his derelict candidacy that will climax when he loses his seat on November 3.

The seeds of Allen Skillicorn’s political demise were planted long before this summer in spite of his big primary win in March.

Remember, Skillicorn and his wife sold their home in late May.

We do know Skillicorn attended two out-of-state Trump rallies in June (Oklahoma and Arizona).

I cannot get into all of the things I’ve heard from reliable sources until after November 3, but as said above, Skillicorn’s path to burnout began long before this summer.

  13. Similar to entertainers, Allen Skillicorn used brains, talent, guts and determination to win. 😁

  14. Eddie: are you kidding?? He pooped all that stuff out at 12 eating a sac of sliders.

Get with it Belcher and clean up your yard!
