Cites an internal poll that says Trump and Biden are tied within district and him and Underwood are very close
Earlier this week, Jim Oberweis conducted two interviews, one virtual and the other audio-only.

COMMENTARY: McHenry County Blog has been trying to track down more information about this IL-14 poll Oberweis cites. Our guess, it is an “internal poll”, and not from the national Republicans, otherwise, its contents would have been leaked out.
As Cal Skinner cited in a September 21 McHenry County Blog article, there was polling taking place in late September, and there was a “push-poll” element so is Oberweis citing numbers before, or after the “push” of the pollster is unknown.
Into Friday (10/9) morning, there has been no additional Independent Expenditure by any of the super PACs, or large transfers to Oberweis’ campaign from PACs.
Additionally, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (D, IL-14) is running only one positive ad on broadcast TV, so her supporters have found no reason to go negative against Oberweis, yet. At this point, Underwood’s and the Democrats’ internal polling has not revealed a close race, to the point to launch a negative TV advertising campaign, or any negative ads through digital or direct mail marketing.

Trump’s support catered. He dropped out of the 2nd debate after he got DESTROYED in the 1st debate. He doesn’t have the capacity (take your pick – mental, physical, lung) to debate Biden. The con job is over. Jim went along with this guy. There is no way Trump is running even with Biden in IL-14. That’s a fantasy. Trump’s margins are down massively everywhere. Everywhere. It’s the worse in the burbs like IL-14. Trump is losing his stronghold places. IL-14 is not a Trump stronghold.
He’s done. So is the GOP. Your sugar rush is over. GOP is burnt to the ground.
McConnell even knows it’s up and is trying to save any senator he can. yesterday said he hasn’t stepped foot in the White House for 2 months because it’s not safe!!!! Then for good measure he made a point to say that there will be no vax this year. McConnell is smart enough to know Trump is done and the Dems will most likely control the senate next year.
