McHenry Motorcyclist Gets Five Years for Fleeing Police Second Time Around

DANIEL TURNER SENTENCED TO 5 1⁄2 YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR AGGRAVATED FLEEING AND ELUDING

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Daniel R. Turner, 36, of McHenry, Illinois, was found guilty of felony Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding a Peace Officer (Subsequent Offense), a Class 3 felony, following a negotiated plea before the Honorable Michael Coppedge.

On September 5, 2019, an officer conducting narcotics surveillance attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Daniel Turner, who sped off through several intersections rather than pulling over.

He eventually ditched his motorcycle and fled on foot, at which time he was apprehended.

Turner has been previously convicted of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding in 2007, 2011, and 2017.

Turner was sentenced to a term of 5 1⁄2 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections pursuant to the plea.

This case was investigated by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department.

This case was prosecuted by Robert Ladd of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

    He didn’t kill or hurt anyone. He has a family that he adores.

    That bitch from CL got only 35 years for killing her son.

    Worry about that not this.

    Worry about the murderers and killers that get out in less time.
