Willie Wilson is running an Independent campaign for the United States Senate which is apparently making incumbent Democrat Dick Durbin nervous.
Why else would Kristina Zahorik, president of the Illinois Democratic County Chairs Association, as well as chairing the McHenry County Democratic Party Central Committee file a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against Wilson’s radio ads for omitting the “approved by” line?
Wilson, whose polling about a month ago, according to a source within the Mark Curran for U.S. Senate campaign, showed Durbin behind the Republican by two percentage points, is running a campaign that seems to be aimed at Blacks.
Without the Black vote, Democrats would have a hard time winning Illinois.
Wilson has put more than $3 million into his campaign.
