Long-Time Local Tax Fighter Adds His Opposition to that of the Billionaires

Hardly a day goes by that a mailing doesn’t arrive asking me to vote yes or no on Governor JB Pritzker’s tax hike amendment.

Now, Bob Anderson, the barber from Wonder Lake, adds his opinion and you only get one guess what it is.

Vote against tax hike amendment

Tax hike alert!

The November ballot has a question to change the Illinois Constitution that is a tax hike amendment.

This amendment does one thing – it gives Springfield politicians more power to raise taxes whenever they want to create endless tax brackets on whoever they want.

Raising taxes on small businesses and working families is not a sound idea.

Governor J. B.Pritzker has already spent 56 million dollars of his own money on this proposal which will increase the tax burdens on the already over taxed residents of Illinois!

Since being elected Governor Pritzker has signed off on 20 newer or higher taxes and fees.

Our gas tax has doubled, vehicle fees have nearly doubled, he hiked the cigarette tax

And let me point out that we pay the second highest property tax in the nation.

Now he wants a blank check from you for his Springfield Dudes to put more in their pockets.

The tax hike amendment is all about Springfield power to increase taxes with no limits or voter accountability.

Save Illinois.

Vote no on the Illinois tax hike amendment. It’s a Springfield scheme to steal more of your hard earned money!

  1. Wow, I agree with Bob on this!

How about voting on amending the Illinois constitution to fix the broken pension system in favor of taxpayers?

Easier to keep milking the public it seems.

  2. Apparently people don’t understand that the DEMOCRATS are waging an economic war
on the citizens of Illinois, and thanks to stupid people who vote they’re winning.

  3. Agree with Bob. The amendment is open ended. If it were to pass, the Democrat politicians in TOTAL CONTROL of Illinois will then be able to set up any tax rate for any income level. Not just the so-called “billionaires” promoted in the tv commercials. Only chumps and knuckleheads will vote for the amendment.

What is needed is drastic cuts in expenses. Do whatever it takes in legislature, whatever to eliminate all COLAs on pensions for government employees. Next, cut all government pensions over $100K to exactly $100K with no raises or COLAS ever.

Next, a very, very strict review of every single Illinois government department and program. Each one of these must prove why they should continue to exist and if not sufficient proof of the “need”, then eliminate. Next. Those departments and programs that remain as needed must have annual cuts in budgets of at least 3 percent over the next 10 years.
