Appointing City Clerks in Algonquin and McHenry Losing Big

As of 8:29, both the referendums to appoint the Algonquin and McHenry City Clerks were losing over 2-1.

With the dismal results of Jack Franks’ referendum to abolish the Coroner as an elective office, it appears that citizens want to elect their officials, not have someone appoint them.

The results on the Coroner abolition question are a bit less negative, but still 2-1 in opposition:

  1. As it should be … why would you give YOUR vote away to appointments … itโ€™s not rocket science!

    Looks like the VOTE NO signs throughout the entire county were VERY effective … way to go REIN! ๐Ÿ™‚
