As John Lopez reported today, Kane County Treasurer Dave Rickert, in his quest to replace Chris Lauzen as County Board Chairman, has conceded to Democrat Corinne Pierog.
He was 1,879 votes behind with about 7,300 more potential votes.
In McHenry County Democrat Jack Franks, behind by 9,950 votes on Election Day, has not yet uttered a word.
Nor has the Northwest Herald written a story about how Republican Mike Buehler beat Franks.
And that’s the only conclusion one can draw when one looks at the votes and potential votes outstanding as of yesterday:
The above figures were reported to the State Board of Elections by McHenry County Clerk Joe Tirio.
I freely admit that I don’t think many of the “Vote by mail sent but not returned” will ever show up.
So, that leaves about 3,000 potential addition votes to be added to Election Night totals.
