Unclear on the Concept

The Chicago Tribune has an article today about vandals trying to topple a statue of President William McKinley.

What could the motivation have been?

Hardly anyone know anything about McKinley.

A forty-four year old asked, “Did he own slaves?”

Unclear on the Concept — 20 Comments

  1. Democrats and leftists are nihilists.

    Nothing else to say.

  2. It’s about putting anything that has to do with American history down the memory hole.

    It’s that simple.

  3. Biden/Harris voters, expect more of the same—violence, tear downs, with no conception of history behind their rage.

    They just want to Rage.

    Joey’s people.

  4. He was white.

    That’s enough.

    First the statues.

    Then the culture.

    Then then white people physically.

Look at the deluge of interracial advertising.

This is what cultural Marxism is all about.

  5. Chase and Neal are correct, Cal.

If you want more detailed analysis of the leftist worldview and why they do things like this, we could meet up — maybe get coffee or something like that, and catch up on many things.

I’m sure there are a million things you want to ask me.

Not sure what your thoughts are with COVID and all that though, but if you’re interested you know how to reach me.

  6. As the War on Whitey (WoW) continues, don’t say you were not warned.

When they eradicate the last of the self loathing Leftist Whites America will be
reduced to nothing more than a third world country.

  7. WHAT MR ELECT PRESIDENT CAN’T GET YOUR FOLK TO OBEY … ?

    STOP THE RIOTS?

THEY GOT WHAT THEY WANTED YOU AND THE OBAMMIE TEAM…

    COME ON MR.

NOT MY PRESIDENT PUT A STOP TO IT ALL YOU HAD A BIG MOUTH BEFORE THE CHEAT BEGAN ..

ON WHY AND HOW THEY WERE DOING THIS …

  8. Re 10:12 am Comment and advertising – There does seem to be a bias.

    Re so-called “diversity”

Joe Biden and some of his advisors said that his administration will look like America. Guess that means hiring people from different races, ethnicities, religions, etc as a reflection and proportion of the makeup of America.

According to the US census, 73 percent of Americans are white, 13 percent are African American, 5 percent are Asian, etc.

Will Biden’s Administration have diversity proportionally? If 1,000 people in the Administration, then 730 have to be white, 130 African American, 50 Asian, etc.

    Is forced diversity poor management?

Also, was Biden racist when he announced months ago that his VP pick would be a woman of color? Is that an open mind? Shouldn’t a presidential candidate, or in the private sector, any CEO, Director, Manager, Supervisor interview and consider ALL candidates for a job position and select the most qualified regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference, etc?

  9. “Diversity” is nothing more than a Socialist/Marxist mechanism developed
to redistribute wealth under the guise of “fairness” and “equality”
    and eventually overthrowing our government.

    Simple, yet effective.

  10. Equal Opportunity does not mean Equal Outcome.

These statue destroyers want to reinvent some form of a Nation that guarantees everyone something or other in outcomes..

They always leave out the part about who will pay for it since it wont be them.

So tear down another statue—how about the Andy Gump statue in Lake Geneva, that still there?

He’s white, was honest hardworking comic character—tear it down.

The white college kids did in 67′ in a drunken fit, why not now some Biden supporters for “Equal Outcomes since they dont know who McKinley was or what he did.

  11. Eye cant wate 2 take seffies wit u all divercity rox da house baybee eye wil touche ur hare 2.

  12. From the article Martin references:

“What’s causing concern now is that McKinley also oversaw federal policies that undercut Native American tribal authority and reduced reservation lands by as much as 90 million acres. Those and related actions led the Tribal Council of the Wiyot Tribe in Northern California to join the campaign to have the statue of McKinley (who had no personal ties to the city) removed. Arcata was built on land seized from the Wiyot Tribe….

“But McKinley stood for much more than that, and a decision on whether to topple his statue ought to embrace the wholeness of his history and impact…

“Few American presidents were all good or all bad; few didn’t have failings or make bad choices or even lethal ones. McKinley should be viewed in his totality. Except in egregious cases, it makes more sense to educate Americans about their complex, muddled and often unadmirable history than it does to erase or rewrite it.”

  13. And the piece goes on to ask where it stops, pointing out the Lincoln signed off on hanging 38 Native American men who participated in an uprising in Minnesota.

  14. Lincoln was fighting White men at the time in the invasion of the confederacy.

A bunch of savages were tying up military resources on a very unproductive venue in the midst of a war.

Conclusion: the savages must be hanged promptly so they could rape and burn again.

  15. Native Americans are very kind people who shouldn’t be mistreated. I participate in their rain dances.
