Two Harvard Men Arrested for Burglary at Cemetery

Jose “Alan” Medina, 19, and Bradley Tucker, 18, both of Harvard, were arrested on December 3, 2020 for a burglary which occurred at a cemetery in Harvard.

On December, 3, 2020 the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Mount Auburn Cemetery, located in the 20500 block of East Brink Street in unincorporated Harvard, for a report of a stolen John Deere Gator.

On scene investigation discovered that a building had been broken into
and a Gator had been stolen.

While the deputy was still on scene, the Sheriff’s Office was notified by an honorable citizen who said that they just purchased a new John Deere Gator from Medina off of Craigslist.

After the sale, the citizen confirmed with a local John Deere dealer that the Gator was recently purchased by the cemetery, so they contacted the police.

During the course of the investigation, Medina and Tucker were identified as suspects and supporting evidence was developed.

After further investigation, Medina and Tucker were arrested for the burglary and theft.

Both were transported to the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility where they both were held on a $40,000 bond.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the integrity of the reporting citizen and the local John Deere dealer.

The charges against this individual are merely allegations against him. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

“I wanted to highlight that this story does have a nice human story to it.  

“An honorable citizen contacted the police when he realized the gator he just purchased used had been recently stolen. 

“The honorable citizen would not like to have his information shared.”
