From the McHenry County Health Department:
McHenry County Department of Health is partnering with Jewel-Osco to begin administering shots to 65+
WOODSTOCK — McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) learned over the weekend that Jewel-Osco was receiving a limited supply of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for McHenry County.
MCDH is partnering with Jewel-Osco to begin vaccinating Phase 1b residents who are 65 or older and have enrolled through MCDH to receive their vaccine.
This allotment is from the federal supply and is separate from the weekly allotment MCDH receives from the State.
Residents age 65 or older who have completed the vaccine enrollment form on the MCDH website should watch their email for a link to schedule their appointment at one of the two Jewel-Osco locations in Huntley.
Additional opportunities to receive vaccine for this population will be available in the coming weeks.
“We welcome any opportunity to increase the vaccine supply in McHenry County and expect to announce additional community partnerships in the coming weeks that will expand options for vaccine administration as we transition into Phase 1b,” said MCDH Public Health Administrator Melissa Adamson.
