I can’t remember posting anything about foreign affairs before, but through Legal Insurrection, I found a link to Vladimir Putin critic Alexei Navalny’s YouTube critique that was released the day he returned to Russia.
It has been viewed over 106 million times since then and seems to be one of the reasons for people protesting in the street across Russia.
I’m just getting into it. It has English subtitles and reading them while trying to look at what is presented is a bit of a challenge.
The huge home Putin built on the Black Sea is featured. It has tables even more expensive than those purchased by the Huntley Fire Protection District.
If you have finished shoveling the driveway, this might be of interest.

Although I don’t wish the Russian people ill, I certainly wish that for Mr. Putin.
On the other hand, if the Russian people want more freedom (not only for themselves but for their progeny) at some point they have to fish or cut bait.
We Americans are lucky in that our forebears risked all for freedom and that we continue to enjoy the benefits.
Now that’s what a real insurrection looks like,

In my view, it’s the military (and, to an extent, the police) that is the key, not Ivan and the boys with ol’ Betsy takin’ on a modern military.
(Remember what George Washington said about the militia even in the days when militias could make a difference ?)
Relying upon private arms to topple a government with any semblance of a loyal modern army is, in my opinion, simply a male fantasy.
