Unsurprisingly, the Republican Who Helped Defeat Jeanne Ives Comes Out in Support of Adam Kinzinger

According to Dave Diersen’s GOP Illinois Newsletter, this appeared in Crain’s today:

Pat Brady

“There has been an undercurrent for a while of people who didn’t like Trump but didn’t have a place to go.

“Now Adam has provided a place,” says former state Republican Chairman Pat Brady.

“I think there will be donors who appreciate what he’s doing and will contribute to it.”

Among them will be Brady, who says he “absolutely” will write a check himself. . .

Kinzinger’s main Illinois fundraiser is Lisa Wagner. She’s worked for numerous Republican officials here, most considered political moderates.

Unsurprisingly, the Republican Who Helped Defeat Jeanne Ives Comes Out in Support of Adam Kinzinger — 12 Comments

  1. Pat Brady, Jim Edgar were Biden supporters, Edgar helped elect Gov. JB Pritzker, there is no surprise that Brady would support Kinzinger.

After all Kinzinger was groomed by John McCain.

It also appears on FB, any pro-Kinzinger comments are coming from Card Carrying ACLU Members and the Teacher’s Union.

    Any Questions?

  2. Brady, another RINO rectal aperture with an ego so huge that it won’t let him STFU
go away and refrain from making an epic fool of himself.

  3. There will be no Reformation in The Republican party until it finally rids itself of the RINOs which now infest it.

  4. Adam Kinzinger is sending out a lot of mixed messages.

    I don’t get what he’s getting at…

This says he does not care if he loses re-election.

    What re-election?

I thought he was not running for congress again?

Isn’t that what was being said like a month ago and for the past several months?

This article says he is not going to run statewide in 2022.

He KNOWS he will NEVER win statewide.

His ambitions for that died quickly, didn’t they? But then does that mean he will run for congress again?

To be honest, he probably would have a better shot at getting re-elected to congress than statewide.

(I’m hoping he leaves politics entirely.)

Regardless of what he might or might not run for, we know he plans on attacking “Trumpism.”

You know, with Kinzinger, the more I learn about that guy, the more I don’t care for him…

And this one is kind of relevant too, because it’s about Kinzinger, but it’s not about his future plans.

Are there any plans to censure him in McHenry County?

These congressional districts are going to look different next time around.

Who is to say Kinzinger’s district doesn’t end up representing McHenry County and Underwood’s district ends up with less or no territory from McHenry County?

Underwood lost McHenry County, you know, and she is from Naperville.

Couldn’t they draw Underwood a safer district centered more around DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will County?

She barely defeated Oberweis and Oberweis was a deeply flawed candidate.

Doesn’t Kinzinger currently represent parts of DeKalb County and all of Boone County?

    Those counties border McHenry County.

I don’t think it would be unreasonable for the MCGOP to put the question to a vote.

What’s going on in Grafton Township?

Are they going to vote on those resolutions that Chairman Brettman drafted to censure Kinzinger?
