Road Commissioner Candidate Danijela Sandberg Introduces Her Campaign for Algonquin Township Road Commissioner

From Danijela Sandberg:

Danijela has been a long time resident of Fox River Grove.

She has been effectively using her time to benefit charitable organizations such as Autism Speaks where she’s raised over $25,000 for affected children and families.

Danijela has volunteered her time for the Shop-with-a-Cop program for the last two years.

Danijela Sandberg on the right.

Her commitment to the community has been displayed in her willingness to serve in many volunteer positions.

She’s a fiscal conservative with a plan to serve Algonquin Township through upgraded and streamlined services.

Already carrying over 80 hours of TOI (Townships of Illinois) continuing education while working as Administrator in the Highway Department.

Ms. Sandberg has earned certification from the Townships of Illinois as a Highway Commissioner – the only candidate to do so.

Danijela Sandberg’s certification.

Just as many of her constituents do, Danijela knows the pressures of living and working within a defined budget and knows government must learn to do the same.

Towards that goal, she plans to work collaboratively with the residents to upgrade and streamline services.

Regular meetings and communication with the residents are planned to help the flow of information.

Can we count on you to work with her for the betterment of our community?

Road Commissioner Candidate Danijela Sandberg Introduces Her Campaign for Algonquin Township Road Commissioner — 18 Comments

  1. Blah, blah, blah. Another township piglet ready to shoot her snout into the trough.

Ok, maybe she IS better than her opponent(s).

    But so what.

The township needs to go bye bye, just like the Illinois Indians who used to live here.

  2. Cal who came up with the title to this hype piece?

Andrew Gasser is the one and only elected Algonquin Township Highway Department Highway Commissioner.
https://www.toi.org/ Township Officials of ILLINOIS, not “Townships of Illinois”

I searched the TOI site for any reference to certification as a Highway Commissioner, there is none.

There was mention of a APWA (American Public Works Ass.) certification, a APWA “Illinois Roads Scholar”.

Ms. Sandberg’s website is also misleading, maybe she’d supply proof, a site or copy of the certificate?

  3. I shall add the word “candidate.”

Thanks for pointing out my mistake.

  4. Nob – are you sure you are not going to end up with egg on your face???

  5. James, Cal changed the post after I asked questions, the certificate wasn’t shown in the original post and the TOI is still listed incorrectly, it’s Township Officials of ILLINOIS, not “Townships of Illinois”

Cal how about a link so we can see what is involved in getting the certificate?

  6. Robert Bob Bragg was a Village of Cary trustee, what are his qualifications?

  7. Nice try Nob, but your stooge disables his FB page,

Maybe it was the pix of him biting off a chicken’s head.

  8. Trexler, I just clicked on the link an it went to Bragg’s campaign piece, plus Cal shared it today.

This is a incorrect statement also: “”Ms. Sandberg has earned certification from the Townships of Illinois as a Highway Commissioner – the only candidate to do so.”

The independent candidate for Highway Commissioner also has the same certificate issued by the Township Officials of Illinois.

    Danijela has issues with accuracy.

  9. Seems to be overcompensating for a lack of experience.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t she the office secretary for Gasser?

  10. Hi
I’m Nob, a Miller a$$ kisser looking for a paid volunteer job – aka recycling –

    FOIA THAT!

How well did Bobby take care of you or you working with Dave Miller?!?

    Ticktok… toktick…

How many times did you get on your knees for a Miller?

    Hmmm?!?

    Inquiry minds.

  11. If voters approve a referendum in the April election, Algonquin Township government would be consolidated with that of McHenry County at the end of 2021, thus no need for an unnecessary “highway commissioner” and all the nepotism/corruption/waste that historically goes with that entire department.

Amazing that so-called “fiscal conservatives” seek to ensure that Illinois continues unnecessarily funding the most branches of government–by FAR–of ANY state in the U.S. (and thus, ensuring that Illinois taxes remain unnecessarily high).

  12. Supervisor candidate Randy Funk successfully challenged the petitions filed for that referendum, so it will not be on the ballot in April.
