Message from the Super Bowl — Catalina Lauf Says Hi — 21 Comments

  1. Was she wearing Chiefs color Red, or Republican Red?

Yes, way to go Bucs–GOAT and GRONK– glad she made it to the Game.

    Must know someone.

  2. Who is giving her all this money to parade around in Georgia and Florida and elsewhere?

A Super Bowl ticket goes for like 6,0000 dollars.

  3. woops put in an extra zero

*six thousand* was what I meant.

    Still not cheap.

  4. Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Bucs and Tom Brady!

But you might have to hold on a little longer, I hear, the Breaking News.

“Unknown Source says Kansas City’s mail-in Touchdowns are pouring in”>

  5. The streaker put $50K down on a +750 prop bet that there would be a streaker at the game.

After posting $1K bond, he cleared $374K.

    Who’s laughing now?!?!?!

  6. Correcting why are you obsessed?

Who cares what this girl does in her free time?

Not to mention it has been noted she is possibly dating a famous person/athlete.

Leave her alone and be jealous elsewhere

  7. The lesbian Tampa mayor says that she’s going to be coming after people who weren’t wearing masks while they weren’t eating or drinking.

    SO SCARED!

  8. Jen, Correcting is not obsessed and not jealous.

Correcting is one of our most thoughtful commenters here on the blog.

“Who cares what this girl does in her free time?”

    Valid question.

From your question, why did Lauf choose to share with the public on one of her social media accounts (but not the largest one) that she was at the Super Bowl?

If Lauf wanted privacy, she could have shared the pic with her close friends privately, not on her IG account with over 30K followers in public view.

As I’ve said recently in some of my most recent comments about Kyle Rittenhouse, choices have consequences and so does a carefree lifestyle.

That goes for all of us, Rittenhouse, his mom, Lauf, you, me.

I took the pic like you, Jen. Her at the Super Bowl, this was her free time, she chose to share with the world, so I shared on the blog.

Consequences like the Tampa mayor, who’s related to the FL-14 congresswoman, could go with Lauf’s choice, too.

    Remember Libby Andrews?

  9. Normally, unemployed people (like Lauf) do not go to the Super Bowl.

  10. Maybe Lauf should run for mayoress in Antigua, Guatemala.

She’d get my vote if I lived there.

  11. Correcting what would make you think Lauf is unemployed?

Is there something you know that we know dont?

  12. Where does she work?

She is known to be chronically unemployed.

It has been brought up on this blog and I was actually one of the few persons who defended her from those sorts of attacks and I almost never defended her.

Her lack of job and life experience was a big problem for GOP voters.

Why are you putting the burden of proof on me to prove she is unemployed when people know she is chronically unemployed??

Why don’t you just tell us what she does for work?

  13. Correcting, a year ago last night at the Bolingbrook candidates forum, the “gotcha question” Catalina Lauf faced was about her being a “job hopper”, not being employed with the same employer for extended periods of time.

I don’t think it was “chronically unemployed”, though I can see how that perception can be applied if one changes jobs often.

Lauf’s LinkedIn page says the following for her current position, director of Heartland Global Resources:

“Manage and advise a portfolio of growing companies and their product lines including: BodyWorn Gear and Begin Health, LLC”

Timeline shows summer of 2019 to present, which would be accurate to when she left the Commerce Department.

Heartland Global Resources and BodyWorn Gear are start-ups of her father.

Begin Health is a start-up of her sister’s. Family businesses must be booming to where Lauf can do all that she does for a woman at 27.

Or, maybe one of her clients through her work is based in Tampa and was able to give Super Bowl tickets?

Sounds like good business to me.

Here’s what we know of Lauf’s job history since graduating from Miami University at the end of 2013:

    Uber: 2016-2017
Citizens for Rauner: Jan – Nov 2018
    U.S. Commerce Dept: Dec 2018 – August 2019
Heartland Global: August 2019 – present

Lauf also lists Defense of Freedom PAC on her LinkedIn resumé.
As reported here on the blog, Lauf took a $5K investment and converted it to raise $105K in a 3-month period, contributing to 14 Federal campaigns, winning 5 of them.

Defense of Freedom PAC important because it is the first startup that Catalina Lauf did in her own name, not her family’s, with measurable results.

Throw in all the media interviews she does on FOX, OAN and Newsmax, and while I don’t know if they are paid appearances, the brand “Catalina Lauf” is only helped by them.

Correcting is accurate, Jen, that Lauf in spite of some success in business and political fundraising, she lacks significant life experiences.

Last year, Millennial (birth year 1981-1996) women who won their respective Republican Party’s nomination had at least 1 of the following life experiences in their name:

    – military service
    – marriage
    – motherhood

Lauf had none and she cannot force 2 of those experiences.

Across the country last year, Republican primary voters nominated Millennial women who had at least one of those listed significant life experiences.

Last year business success didn’t count, and I could only find one Millennial woman who won the Republican party’s nomination without any of the above – Laura Loomer.

    That was 2020.

2022 could be very different and since Catalina’s primary loss, I’ve seen growth and maturity in Catalina and I believe others have too including Club for Growth super PAC.

Whether she chooses to run for Congress again next year remains to be seen.

She still has her challenges including the perception that for DC, many will see it’s too soon.

It’s up to her to run again, and I have faith she will not be rushed to do anything unless she knows she’s ready for it.
