Former President Donald Trump was acquitted by the U.S. Senate by a 57-43 vote in favor of conviction, not meeting the 67-vote threshold for conviction.
Seven Republicans voted to convict President Trump.

The final vote was 57 to 43, far short of the 67 votes needed to secure a conviction.
Republican Sens. Richard Burr of North Carolina, Susan Collins of Maine, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania all voted guilty.
The vote means the Senate cannot bar Trump from holding future federal offices.

Toomey is not running in 2022, already announced and Murkowski lost her primary the last time, but won anyway.
Romney doesn’t care since he already voted to convict once, we will see with him in 2022.
Enlightened, actually, Burr is retiring in 2022, he won’t face voters again in 2022.
As for Murkowski, it was 2010 when she lost primary and won as write-in, not 2016.
And next year in Alaska, it’s much different election rules.
