Graphic pornographic appeared on a screen during a class at District 300’s Crown High School.

The following email was sent last night:

Dear Charger Families,

A concern was brought to our attention this afternoon that an individual displayed pornographic images via Zoom in a 9th period class today. 

Our team has been investigating this throughout the afternoon and evening using information provided by students in the class.

If your student was in this class and has additional information to report, please have him or her contact the Dean’s Office. 

One fact we have confirmed is that this was not the teacher’s screen. 

In addition, please know that our security filters work to prevent anyone from accessing pornography on district devices or from district servers.

Once we determine who was responsible for this, we will address it to the fullest extent possible.  

Families are encouraged to review D300 Parent/Guardian Handbook Page 21 together as a reminder of its importance.
