McHenry County Board Chairman Mike Buehler has the statutory duty to recommend replacements for Board members who leave office.

Besides being over 18 and registered to vote, the only requirement is that the appointee be from the same political party.

He replaced the late Chuck Wheeler in District 4 with Jeff Schwartz.

Now he has to name someone to take the place of newly-elected State Rep. Suzanne Ness.
