McCullom Lake Garage Fire

From the McHenry Township Fire Protection District:

Fire Handled by the MTFPD in McCullom Lake Last Night

At approximately 6:30pm on February 24, 2021, the McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded to a reported garage fire in the 4700 block of Lake Shore Drive in McCullom Lake.

Crews quickly arrived to find a fire in a detached garage in the rear of a home.

The garage was heavily involved in fire.

An aggressive attack was made, confining damage to the garage with only minor heat damage to adjoining buildings.

There were no fire hydrants available, so a water supply was established with the assistance of a Wonder Lake Fire Protection District water tender

Four other incidents were taking place at the same time as the fire.

Those emergencies were handled by the Richmond Fire District and additional McHenry Township Fire Protection District companies.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and a dollar loss was not available at the time of this press release.
