Truck photographed at the U.S. Capitol traced to State Representative Chris Miller with a militia decal triggers bipartisan call for investigation, implication Miller took part in Capitol Riots
Yesterday, the Daily Beast published an article stating a group tracking down participants in the Capitol Riots of January 6 had traced a pick-up truck with a decal of a militia group to State Representative Chris Miller (R, 105th District), the husband of Congresswoman Mary Miller.
It was common knowledge Chris Miller, 66, participated in the peaceful protest outside the Capitol on January 6, as tens of thousands did, as this tweet from WCIA-TV Mark Maxwell documented Miller clearly outside the Capitol during the Save America rally, a peaceful protest:
Throughout the day on Friday, calls for investigating Chris Miller, due to the truck picture went from both Democrat and Republicans alike.
McHenry County Democrat Chair Kristina Zahorik, in her role as president of the Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association (IDCCA) issued the following letter to the office of the Legislative inspector general in Springfield:
Honorable Carol Pope
Office of the Legislative Inspector General
Dear Inspector General Pope:
Following public reports showing State Representative Chris Miller was in attendance January 6, 2021, at the rally in Washington, D.C. that led to a deadly insurrection, we are calling on the Office of the Legislative Inspector General to open an investigation into Representative Miller’s presence and involvement in the day’s events.

As federal charges accumulate against those who stormed the nation’s Capital — ranging from unlawful entry in a restricted building to assault on a federal officer — very little is known about Representative Miller’s activity that day. Miller has since deleted his social media posting showing himself at the aforementioned rally.
As the United States Congress pursues the creation of a commission to investigate the mob attack of January 6, it is only appropriate that the Office of the Legislative Inspector General investigate any potential violations of any law, rule, or regulation or abuse of authority or other forms of misconduct by a member of the General Assembly. At minimum, this constitutes the type of conduct that is unbecoming of a legislator and warrants an investigation by the Inspector General.

Unbelievable, how quick Zahorik wants to score cheap political points.
The search for the cheap political points not confined to Zahorik when Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R, IL-16) tweeted the following on Friday:
“further investigation” of Chris Miller?
What’s there to investigate?
Law enforcement found no evidence of Chris Miller part of the violent and lawless mob which were part of the Capitol Riots, and neither Kinzinger and Zahorik have proof he was part of it.
He was outside the Capitol at the peaceful protest, not part of the violent mob who committed real crimes and deserve prosecution and punishment.
Miller’s truck parked, clearly after taking his wife Congresswoman Miller to work outside the Capitol with a questionable but legal expression of his 1st amendment right, along with participating in a peaceful protest is not a crime!
Is Kinzinger’s vapid “Country First” movement any more than a 2021 version of the Salem witchcraft trials of 1692?
What’s next, my friend Darlene Swaffar of Florida, who volunteered to testify during President Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate because she was at the Capitol on January 6 in the lawful peaceful protest being “investigated” by Florida officials?
Wouldn’t put it past Kinzinger to think a Boricua single mom from Florida who ran for Congress last year who’s a God-fearing Christian Patriot would take up arms against her government just because she was outside the Capitol exercising her 1st amendment rights.
