Catalina Lauf was interviewed on Fox-TV in Chicago Friday.
She noted that Adam Kinzinger’s district deserved someone who supported the former President, noting that the 16th went stronger for Donald Trump last year than in 2016.
Lauf said the district deserved “a servant representative,” rather than someone attempting to assert “Old Guard Establishment” values.
There was also a reference to “war-hawkness flavor” of Establishment Republicans.
Kinzinger had been on the show earlier expressing no concern about any challenge.
“I have no concerns about two years from now,” he said.
Lauf also noted that Lauren Underwood could have been defeated with “a stronger candidate.”

Because Lauf did not answer my softball questions about food, music, and manga, I’m going HARDBALL MODE again, like I did last election cycle!

Why does Lauf feel removing Kinzinger is more important than getting a majority in the House by replacing incumbent Democrats with Republicans?
Put another way, why is Lauf RUNNING AGAINST KINZINGER instead of UNDERWOOD like she did last time?
By her running in Kinzinger’s district instead of Underwood’s, where she lives, isn’t she tacitly conceding that she can’t defeat Underwood? She lives in Underwood’s district, not Kinzinger’s.
Since Oberweis nearly defeated Underwood and Lauf is supposedly much “stronger” than Oberweis (as her supporters have argued), then why doesn’t she run in Underwood’s district again like she did in 2020?
To rehash some old concerns: Why did Lauf donate money to Madison Cawthorn and all sorts of people from out of state with her PAC but gave ZERO MONEY to Oberweis in her OWN DISTRICT?

I think Lauf backstabbed Oberweis.
If she cares so much about America and thinks Underwood is part of an anti-America “squad” then why did she sit on her hands when a Republican (Oberweis) needed help to defeat Underwood in what was one of the most highly competitive House races? Do you realize how close the margin in the House is?
About the interview: Lauf has slightly improved her speaking ability compared to 2019/2020, but that’s not saying much and she is using the SAME LAME talking points about Underwood being a “socialist,” being the daughter of a legal immigrant, and being an entrepreneur that she used last time.

Or is she just considering her PAC’s political investments as her own “entrepreneurship”?)
I’ve been telling people on this blog for years this stuff does not excite anybody except boomers glued to Fox News who don’t understand what’s going on in this country.

Just like last time, Lauf rallies against “RINOs” and “fake Republicans,” and this time she has added to that the criticism that these “RINOs” and “fake Republicans” are not “America First” (without herself ever explaining what that term means).

I’m not down with her, and just like in 2020 I am highly concerned by all the buzz she’s getting from the RNC types and their buddies: the Con Inc crowd, the blue checkmarks, the mainstream media, etc.

-Lauf has never been involved with the McHenry County Republicans even after they reached out to her.
-Lauf has never taken a stance on local issues, including when Democrats on the McHenry County Board and a bunch of “immigration activists” wanted to cancel the McHenry County Sheriff’s contract with ICE. So how is she America First if she wouldn’t even support ICE in her own county when Democrats were trying to cancel it? The closest she got to local activism was when she raised some money to sue Pritzker over lockdowns — no idea how much she raised, what she did with the money. That’s more of a state issue than a local one though. Lauf has done some state activism. For example, she worked for Bruce Rauner in the 2018 primary and helped defeat Jeanne Ives, a real conservative.
-Lauf is vague and always has been vague. She announced she was running for congress in the 2020 cycle during the 2019 McHenry County fair (which was in July or August). Is she any less vague now? She has had about 19 months since then to formulate opinions. Where/what are her policies?

Host Margaret asked him in a round about way of prominent Republican US Senators who might run for president.
Kinzinger mentioned Ben Sass, Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski.
