  1. “Darrell Bailer, formerly State Representative know for challenging Governor JB Pritzker’s Covid-19 Emergency Orders, now in the State Senate, is running for the Republican nomination for Governor.”

It’s Darren Bailey. He’s a former state rep and current state senator.

Dangit I’ve seen Darren Bailey too. I gave him a lot of good ideas.

Now you have to book him AND Jeff Thorsen.

You have to book Gary Rabine (if he’s even a candidate, otherwise forget about him).

You have to book congressional candidates too.

OR ELSE MY TWO FRIENDS AND I WILL NOT GO!

  2. Hopefully some of you folks will have gotten your vaccines by then, not that it would make any difference to you.

  3. “Most congressional candidates haven’t even announced yet.”

Generally true, but in Kinzinger’s district there’s already been FOUR people who announced they intend to run against Kinzinger on the Republican side (Pfaff, Lauf, Marter, and Lombardi), and one Democrat has announced (Williams).

By this time last year, there were at least two — maybe three — in the fourteenth district.

    Oberweis and Malouf for sure.

    Maybe Quigley too.

I wanna say Gradel entered around April.

Rezin was June or July and Lauf was late July early August.

    Evans was late too.

Candidates like Sanguinetti in the 6th had dropped out by the fall of 2019.

Anthony Catella announced he was running in the 14th district exactly two years ago today. https://www.shawlocal.com/2019/03/12/st-charles-man-announces-bid-to-challenge-underwood-in-2020/axvuyry/

So three or four in the 14th had already announced.
