  • Tom Ryder—55 votes   30.2%
  • John Cullerton—46 votes 25.3% 
  • Bob Winchester—20 votes 11.0%
  • Coy Pugh—12 votes    6.6%
  • Robert Terzich—10 votes   5.5%
  • Alfred Ronan—18 votes     9.9%
  • Jack Franks—9 votes          4.9%
  • Bill Marovitz—7 votes        3.8%
  • Ricca Stone—5 votes          2.7%

Only retired legislators and statewide elected officials were allowed to vote.

  1. William A. Marovitz is an American lawyer and politician who was involved in real estate in Chicago and was married to Christie Hefner from 1995 to 2013, so jack barely beat the son-in-law of Hugh Hefner.
