From the Village of Fox River Grove:
Robert J. Nunamaker has officially resigned from the position of Village President as of Tuesday, March 16, 2021 due to personal health challenges.
President Nunamaker served in the position since May of 2009.
Over the past twelve years, President Nunamaker’s leadership helped the Village through many challenges while making the Village a better place to live and do business.
During his tenure, the Village has welcomed many new businesses, including the construction of Avante Banquets and Culvers, worked to advance the downtown redevelopment efforts, which includes the assembly of properties in the downtown area, and has successfully positioned the Village as the second debt free community in the State of Illinois (population of 4,700 or greater).
At the Village Board meeting on March 16th, the Fox River Grove Village Board elected Trustee Marc McLaughlin to Acting Village President for which he will serve in that role until the current term concludes on April 30th.
After the meeting, Acting Village President McLaughlin stated,
“The leadership that President Nunamaker has provided over the years is irreplaceable and his contributions to the Village of Fox River Grove will benefit the community for decades to come.”
Bob is a good man and will be missed.

Got his way for years, now demands a gold watch on his way out.
But he never stood for less government or cutting the municipal tax levies.
He never helped ANY conservative and trashed people like Yocious.
If he did, I’d like to know about it.
Why put a magnifying lens on a human inch worm?
He’s a little piglet compared to the much larger hogs.
