The owner of the properties in this photo gave permission for Algonquin Township Road Commissioner candidate Danijela Sandberg to put a sign on her property.
After that occurred, Sandberg’s opponent. Derek Lee’s campaign put one up, in front of it, disrespecting her property rights.
He did remove it when it was made clear he did not have permission.
This is news? Really

Probably thinks he is entitled to do whatever he wants.
Derek Lee has a law degree from a third rate law school, but he’s not licensed to practice law.

I guess he took a tip from his crooked father in law, Slob Miller of Disneyland trip ignominy in the taxpayers’ dime.
Naturally township employees find public sector ’employment’ so much more lucrative and much less stressful than actual employment.
Both Sandberg and Lee are against consolidating the Road District so it doesn’t really matter who wins.
Perhaps if we are going to accuse people of some action pictures or video proof is needed.
A supporter put that sign up, not Derek, who took it down once he knew of the issue.
There are lots of signs by both candidates and by others wishing to get elected that are illegally installed in the ROW that should be removed, like the big Sandberg sign on East Main within the VOC limits.
There are still political signs up in the ROW of people who lost in the Republican primary.
I would have been sorely tempted to put a big sign next to Lee’s sign that said “This Disrespectful A**hole Placed This Sign Without Permission Of Homeowner”
I probably would have just ripped it up or burned it instead.

I have seen many Lee signs on public property all over the county but not any Sandberg signs in the ROW.
Some not within the boundaries of Algonquin Township.
This dirty campaigning is standard for the family dynasty.
I wouldn’t expect less.
If someone is going to comment that there are Sandberg signs in the ROW maybe they should provide “pictures or video proof”.
