To the best of my knowledge, Republicans are disengaged in local elections.
Perhaps Democrats see the non-partisan nature of all local elections, except in the largest townships, as a way to gain more inroads in the governmental arena where most of tax dollars are spent.
Republicans neglect odd year elections even as their political opponents are highly involved.
Could that say something about Republicans?
