McHenry County GOP Central Committee’s Executive Committee Censures Adam Kinzinger — 17 Comments

  1. Ridiculous!!!!!!!

Censuring because they don’t agree with how he voted.

    Corrupt Republicans

  2. They were right to censure Kinzinger, but Wilke can hardly be considered a dynamic force.

Maybe he ought to be censured too.

  3. I fully support this decision! Great job McHenry County GOP, this is what Conservative Republicans voted for!

    Boom!

  4. You idiots did it wrong.

You were supposed to call a meeting (either a regular meeting or a special meeting) and had the WHOLE COMMITTEE (that means all precinct committeepeople) vote on it.

Now you can’t say the McHenry County GOP censured him.

You can only say the “executive committee” censured him. DUMB!

    DUMB!

    DUMB!

The executive committee is four people (assuming Chuck Wheeler has been replaced).

    Four people.

I’m sure there are well over 100 pc.

Why didn’t you try to get this taken up by the whole committee?

Were you afraid you didn’t have the votes?

Were you afraid you couldn’t even get quorum because your pc are lazy?

Were you too lazy or stupid to call a meeting in the first place?

This is boy wonder Wilke in action, huh?

    I’M NOT IMPRESSED!

  5. Wilke did not get behind the 2nd Amendment sanctuary movement as he had promised.

    He is an obese mistake.

    Did Jack Franks select him?

  6. I echo Correcting’s statements.

The county GOP establishment is a total joke, and brings shame to true conservatives who aren’t Evertsen’s (Old Leather Face) and Tirio’s mentally ill nut job followers.

Wilke is an empty shell with Old Leather Face occupying it making the calls from within.

They lack financial support from their voters, fail to attract new young working families, and continue to lose elections/votes to the other side.

Let’s be clear, the Tea Party is not the Republican Party, and it’s time for conservatives to take back what is ours before McHenry County is lost forever.

  7. Executive committee can’t make endorsements.

That’s something that has to get done by the whole committee.

So what makes you think a censure should be something done by just 3 or 4 people?

I thought boy wonder Wilke was some fancy smartypants lawyer?

He sounds rather stupid and low-effort.

I’m for censuring Kinzinger too, but this doesn’t even count as a censure.

    You didn’t do it right.

This carries no weight and means nothing.

    YOU DID IT WRONG TYLER

    TRY AGAIN TYLER

Do it the right way — not the “Karen, Tim and I said so” way.

Other counties are doing it the right way.

  8. Funny how all these Republican entities that are now resolving to censure certain House members for voting in favor of impeachment include a clause about representing the “will, values and stated preferences of the people of their congressional district” in their document.

Following this logic, don’t they realize that their boy lost by 3MM+ votes in 2016 and almost 8MM votes in 2020.

The “will of the people” said F you to Trump quite clearly both times.

  9. The election was stolen, ‘Big dumb Orange!’

As far as the venturing of Kinzinger goes, I’m sure this was voted on by the Exec Cmte and the Central Cmte which would include the GOP township chairmen. You don’t call a convention of Precinct Committeemen for this.

You’ve been corrected ‘correcting’ and from what I see, that’s a regular thing. Good thing you’re not in charge.

  10. OK I forgot about the township gop chairmen.

That adds the chairman and vice chairman of Dorr, Grafton, Nunda, McHenry, Algonquin, and NorWest (a collective of the other townships).

It doesn’t include all townships, only those with 10 or more precincts.

That still makes it a small club.

16 people tops assuming there are no duplicates (the chairman of one of those townships also being on the executive committee).

Do you care to tell us what the vote count was since you seem so proud of this half-butted measure???

“From what I see it’s a regular thing.”

    Regular where?

Censures in general are not regular, nor are they regular in this county.

Here are actually some townships in this county that had censures with their whole committees, not just the executive committee.

They had regular meetings and they censured him after a vote with ALL OF THEIR MEMBERS INVITED, not just the PRIVILEGED FEW!

Here are entire county central committees doing censures, not just their executive committees.

In what fantasy world do you live in where a vote by the executive committee is just as good as a vote coming from the whole committee?

My statement about endorsements is in the bylaws and the logic should follow for censures too. All committeepersons get to vote on endorsements.

“Good thing you’re not in charge.”

If I were in charge I wouldn’t have let Kristina Zahorik beat me to the punch like fat and lazy Tyler did.

That’s right, the DEMOCRATS issued a statement about Kinzinger before Republicans.

And I would have called for a meeting for all PC instead of having a secret meeting with a tiny group of people and trump that up as a “censure.”

    It’s not a censure.

Yeah bro good think Tyler Wilke is in charge instead of me; he’s doing such a great job!

The guy has been in charge for a year and has done and said almost nothing.

Wilke misses the entire point of a censure.

A censure is not for a handful of people in authoritative positions to declare.

A censure carries weight when it’s seen as a grassroots expression.

When you don’t have the lowest level party operatives voting on it, and it’s just “executive committees” making the call, how is it a grassroots expression?

  11. Has Wilkie done a damn thing about issuing a censure for the Biden misadministration endangering the nation via his open borders hallucination?

Has Wilkie done a damn thing about anything?

  12. If you’re ok with an executive committee making the choice instead of letting all PC weigh in on it, maybe some day Tina Hill, Mark Daniels, and Mike Tryon will be in charge and decide they don’t like candidates who are too conservative or too Trumpy, exclude PC from voting, issue a “censure” of some candidate you like (Lauf/Marter/etc.) and then you can defend the executive committee’s action as legitimate…

    How would you like that?

  13. Correcting, did Tina ‘Bigasa’ Hill get expelled from the Betty Ford Clinic for smuggling in bootleg Listerine?

  14. I gave $1000 each + every year from about 2006 to 2014 to the County GOP cent. Committee.

    Then I ‘woke’ up.

The GOP was a sleepy bunch of idiots.

  15. Wilkie is in way over his fat head.

He’s just the type of sad sack to destroy what little is left.
