Changing of the Guard in Hebron Sends Robert Shelton to the Head of the Village Table

In the Village of Hebron, a four-way contest was narrowed to a one-on-one when two candidates for Village President–Steve Vole and Josh Stevens–withdrew their candidacies.

The resulting race between incumbent Kimmy Martinez and Robert Shelton resulted in Shelton’s receiving 72% of the vote.

One of the candidates who withdrew–Josh Stevens–was supported by the Democratic Party.

    Democrats endorsed him anyway?

    He got less than 5 percent of the vote.

    That’s awkward.
