Harvard Man Gets Eight Years for Robbing CL Shell Station

JOSEPH HUNTER SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF ROBBERY

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Joseph D. Hunter, 34, of Harvard Illinois, was sentenced to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Robert Wilbrandt after pleading guilty to Robbery of a Victim over the Age of 60, a Class 1 Felony.

On February 3, 2020, Hunter threatened force against an employee at the Circle K, located on Virginia Avenue in Crystal Lake, Illinois, leading to his acquiring and stealing currency from the business.

This case was investigated by the Crystal Lake Police Department.

This case was prosecuted by Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
