The original posting at 8:17 showed the top three candidates on the Cary Elementary School District 26 ballot separated by five votes.

But an hour later, the difference between Stacey Sault and Julie Jette has widened to 39, probably enough to win the seat.

There was no doubt from the beginning that

• Linda Hartman
• Anthony Stafani

would win their races.
