THOMAS FREEMAN SENTENCED TO TEN YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Thomas J. Freeman, 59, of Woodstock Illinois, was sentenced to ten years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Robert Wilbrandt after pleading guilty to Residential Burglary, a Class 1 Felony.

On October 31, 2019, Freeman entered a home in Cary, Illinois without consent of the owner.

When confronted by the owner, Freeman fled the home.

While inside the home, Freeman took possession of multiple personal items.

This case was investigated by the Cary Police Department.

This case was prosecuted by Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

    got to be more to the story and value of items he stole, or if used a gun on the homeowner when discovered, here.

  3. 2nd conviction for residential burglary IN THIS county.

    This is his THIRD conviction for a serious felony and sentence to the DOC.

    I guess he’s just a slow learner and the judge wanted to give him time to let the message sink in.

    And those are only the convictions here in McHenry county and he went away on the first conviction here, which is unheard of unless he had priors elsewhere.

    At 60 years of age, he doesn’t need time to figure out how life works, he just needs time.

    The judge has obliged him!
