More on Congressional Pork — Casten Shortchanges McHenry County, which Gets Less than Half Its Share

Open the Books has made it pretty easy to look up congressional earmarks in the most recent pork bill.

6th District Congressman Sean Casten received $31,939,087.

That ranked him 79th among all 325 members of the House of Representatives.

He earmarked $2,000,000 for Randall Road from Acorn Ln in Lake in the Hills to Alexandra Blvd. in Crystal Lake.

That’s about 5% of his total, while McHenry County comprises about 12% of his congressional district.

Underwood placed 135 with $13,215,051.
