Motorcyclist Badly Hurt in Crash on Curve on Mason Hill Road in Bull Valley

Single Vehicle Motorcycle Injury Crash

Curve on Mason Hill Road

A 28 year old McHenry man was seriously injured following a single vehicle motorcycle crash in Bull Valley, unincorporated Woodstock.

At approximately 5:54 p.m. on May 16, 2021, members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and Woodstock Fire Protection District responded to the scene of a single motorcycle traffic crash in the 8200 Block of Mason Hill Road.

The investigation indicated that a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northwest on Mason Hill Road.

The motorcyclist drove off the north side of the roadway for unknown reasons and came to rest in a ditch.

The driver and sole rider was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with serious injuries. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The investigation is ongoing by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Traffic Crash Investigation Unit.

    As traffic has suddenly built up in the last 30 days, I’ve seen a lot of distracted and impatient people out there, both from my bikes and car.

    Some drivers and riders who mostly stayed off the streets last year are rusty.
