  1. idiots can’t tell our independence day is a month away!!!! doh!!!! what a homer…

  2. The police are investigating the fire.

Maybe your friend could help identify the firestarter.

Though it looks like it was dark at the time.

  3. We back up to the park and were on our deck.

Stupid people lighting off fireworks and then scrambling for cover once the fire started.

I have video of the first 7 minutes which starts at 9:42pm.

I heard a woman scream “get some water – get some water!”.

It appears the fireworks were set off on the walking trail.

    It spread really quick.

We spoke with the Crystal Lake Park Police.

I’m hopeful they will catch the idiots that are responsible.

Even if they don’t there will be stepped up patrols and enforcement of fireworks ordinances because of the fire.

The winds were out of the south that night which kept the fire from spreading to the adjacent homes.

It took about 3 hours before the fire was completely out.

Thanks to the Crystal Lake Fire Department!

It could have been a lot worse without them.
