Wire had been used to string crape paper on and it was clean-up time.
Our sponsor, Mr. Witt, asked me to gather up the wire that had been lowered from the second-floor railings of field house.
I started to wind it up so it could be re-used.
Mr. Witt admonished me to “Hurry up!”
Disgusted, I dropped what I had done, turned to him and said,
“What’s worth doing is worth doing well” and walked out of the Field House.
