Homeless Services Offered Friday at Crystal Lake’s Willow Creek

Community Empower Shower to Help McHenry County Homeless

WOODSTOCK, Ill. – McHenry County’s homeless population will have an opportunity Friday afternoon to get access to supplies and services.

The Community Empower Shower will offer the county’s homeless amenities such as showers and laundry, camping supplies, toiletries and personal care items, clothing, food (both an onsite meal and supplies), and haircuts.

Services will include assistance obtaining vital documents, assistance with medical coverage and disability, veterans’ services, rental and utility assistance, and referrals for shelter and housing, domestic violence support, and mental health.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Willow Creek Community Church Crystal Lake, 100 S. Main St.

The McHenry County Continuum of Care to End Homelessness, which assists in the
coordination and development of services for the homeless and low-income persons with
housing needs, is partnering with a number of local agencies to host the event.

    This however for the homeless would count as a good deed.
