CL Attorney Get Five Years for Killing Man While Driving Drunk

ROBERT ROTH SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF AGGRAVATED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announced that Robert Roth, 70, of
Crystal Lake, Illinois, was sentenced on June 25, 2021 to five years in the Illinois Department of
Corrections by the Honorable Judge Wilbrandt after pleading guilty to the offense of Aggravated
Driving Under the Influence.

Roth was sentenced for driving a motor vehicle on Route 31 in Crystal Lake on June 2, 2020 while
having a blood alcohol content above .08 which led to a crash that caused the death of Adam
Antoni.

This case was investigated by members of the Crystal Lake Police Department and was prosecuted
by Neil Adams of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

  1. Another “smartest guy in the room” going to Prison.

    Drunk Lawyer drives at rush hour, blitzed, causes accident that killed a motorcyclist and father to little kids.

    All that education and knowledge of the law and Roth thought he was above it, or “could get out of any DUI with lawyer skills”.

    Not when you kill someone smart guy.

    I pray he has been sued for everything he ever owned for this, and then heads to State Prison to, “make new friends”.

    Word is he sobered up, goes to AA, thats great mr smart, but thats all after you killed someone because of your drinking and arrogance.
