Columnist John Kass Gone, But Cartoonist Scott Stantis Remains at Chicago Tribune

Departed from the Chicago Tribune is columnist John Kass.

He was the only conservative among the many liberals and leftists and one fake new woman (about whom I’ll write eventually).

Kass can now be found at JohnKassNews.com. (His most recent column–on Republicans’ defunding the police–is here. “[The Democrats] hoping that their Democratic liberal allies in the media will lick those wounds clean, like loyal dogs or the witless and wriggling larvae of flies.”)

And Kristen McQueary, who covered my announcement for Governor in 2002 for the Southtown Economist, now heading the Tribune’s Editorial Board, decided to quit anyway after being denied a buyout.

Remaining, however, appears to be Scott Stantis, whose editorial cartoons I enjoy.

A real estate tax monster is taking over a house, perhaps in memory of Mother Hubbard.

  1. That POS at the SCORE Sports Radio, Dan Bernstein recently called John Kass “Vile” and said he’d subscribe to a new paper some who recently left the Trib were talking about starting as long as John Kass was not part of it.

Kass was the only reason I still glanced at that Trib rag.

Bernstein disguises himself as a Sports Talk host–he’s nothing more than a Bolshevik Left winger still in love with the likes of Rex Huppke and Eric Zorn.

    Kass is King.

See the piece he wrote about Lightfoot, with no shackles on from the TRibs Editorial Dept he’s now free to write away about how inept all of Dem Chicago is.

Write on John, and Bernstein go join the CCP Party you so desperately want to be a part of.
