Tony Colatorti Announces Republican Candidacy for Sheriff

From Tony Colatorti comes this announcement of his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Sheriff:

Tony Colatorti Announces Candidacy for McHenry County Sheriff

Today I announce my candidacy to become the next Sheriff of McHenry County.

Almost all of my professional life has been devoted to public service.

Tony Colatorti

With twenty-two years of law enforcement experience, I am both humbled and excited as I take this next step in my law enforcement career.

As the current McHenry County Sheriff retires from his position, it is important to note that I have been proud to serve under his leadership.

After serving in the Prairie Grove Police Department for eleven years, three and a half years as Chief of Police as well as Chief of Police in Holiday Hills for nearly four years, I have experienced first-hand how important is it for the individual Police Departments to work in conjunction with one another, on behalf of all of the people of McHenry County.

It takes active work by leaders to create, train and mentor those that follow them.

It is this mindset that I will continue to embrace as your Sheriff.

I have lived in McHenry County for seventeen years.

I have been a private business owner in McHenry County for sixteen years.

I can say, without a doubt, that our community is vibrant and growing.

All of my experiences have been very rewarding and developed me into the leader that I am today.

Throughout my campaign, I look forward to meeting people within our county and learning about their concerns.

In return, I will continue to share my vision of how I will serve as a Sheriff for all of McHenry County, it’s citizens and personnel.

I plan to work with the communities and develop partnerships to solidify the trust that our community has with all first responders.

Our community is one of the best in the Chicagoland area. It has become one of the greatest communities in Illinois to live, run a business and raise a family.

Over the following months, we have a lot of ground to cover. We have many issues to discuss.

I am prepared to answer the tough questions and put my experience to the test on behalf of all McHenry County residents.

I will be a candidate for all, and one that you know will always seek
to ensure that you, and the future generations of your family, are safe and can thrive in all your
endeavors.

I am confident that over the next few months, when we have the chance to meet, you will see I am eager to serve on your behalf and I will be the right choice as the next Sheriff of McHenry County. Thank you.

  1. This guy is a vast improvement over the gay flag waving Pinocchio Tadelman.

  2. Ask Tadelman if he’ll swear under oath he never once went with Franks to a Northern Ontario fly in fish junket.

    2015!

  3. EXPERIENC??

Working for 2 PART TIME police departments?

When they shut down the SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT HAS TO TAKE OVER.

How many squads in these departments?

    Two?

    Employees??

Tony does not have the experience to run a Sheriff’s Department.

The McHenry County SO has over 400 employees.

Numerous departments and lots and lots of squads and equipment.

    Millions in budget.

How do you handle going to DC to meet senators over issues?

    Tony ran restaurants.

    Did one go bankrupt??

Would he have to outsource and pay people to do many of the jobs?

    Using tax money?

Will he need more to do it??

    Raise taxes?

Where is your list of EDUCATION???

Here, check out someone that is REALLY QUALIFIED https://robbtadelman.com

  4. Leopard — THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE.

The comments here are showing what kind of support Tony has.

    Very sad.

    Speaks volumes.

  5. Tadelman needs to give the voters an honest explanation of his role in the Pete Sonneville debacle in Crystal Lake.

If he believes that it’s OK for police to illegally enter a man’s house like that, then he has no business working for the Sheriff’s Department, much less leading it.

That wasn’t a situation that involved a close a judgement call, it was just plain outrageous conduct on the part of the deputies.

They would probably have been fired in a state with less powerful police unions, but here they just cost the taxpayers money.

  6. The fishing trip with Franks is a complete lie

hat is what I was referring to. Throwing crap agains the wall to see what sticks.

  7. Tandelman was known as ‘Nygren’s Little Snitch’….. he was also called ‘Tattleman’ bc he’d give Nygren reports on ‘bad deputies’ while Nygren sunned himself in Florida and ran the Sheriff’s Office from afar through Zinke.

He was hardly a social conservative and I always felt he was Democrat from the things that popped out of his mouth.

I learned one thing….. never believe anything he said.

I wonder what he has on Prim bc right after Prim succeeded Nygren, “Twaddleman” was on the ‘watch list.’ Now the duplicitous Prim supports him.

I wonder what stinking deal was made?

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if “Robb” was a protege of Franks.

  8. Of course the raunchy and disgusting homosexual Pyle case will ‘rear’ it’s ugly head and Tadelman will have to explain all the ‘advice’ and ‘protection’ “Robb” gave Pyle .

Tadelman knew the jig was finally up on Pyle, yet Tadelman still was coaching Pyle.

    Very strange!

  9. We may have just found the only species in the galaxy, that thinks something in Illinois is “vibrant and growing”

  10. Uh, no.

Prairie Grove PD is nothing but a neighborhood watch with authority to carry a gun and write speeding tickets.

    Lots of speeding tickets.

    Staffed by part-timers.

He may be a great guy, but going from a tiny community PD to sheriff of county with over 300,000 residents is quite a leap.

    Uh, no.

  11. Robb Tadelman has my vote!

He has the experience, intelligence and demeanor for the position.

  12. I have not heard from Tadelman yet so I have not decided who I will support.

However I was very impressed by Tony when he met with the Grafton Township Republican party monthly meeting.

I think he would make a great sheriff.

  13. This mans ego rules over any common sense that he has.

Chasing kids in Tower Lakes for smoking pot and other misdemeanors is not my idea of experience.

Waiting for the last car to make a left on the change of lights during rush hour and then repeating over and over is not my idea of a good law enforcement officer.

Targeting motorcyclists and snowmobilers does not make him a good or valued officer.

I am sure McHenry can do much better than that.

He should stick to selling Hot Dogs.

  14. There are a few Part time Departments in both Lake & McHenry County.

I’m retired from a so-called full Department after 25 years.

I have also worked at the so-called part time as a Sgt,and Chief with a total of service of 35 years.

Regardless of what type of Department you work for you have to go the Police Acadamy, still have to take the State Test to be sworn in as a Police Officer.

Colatorti has been to the academy & past the state test.

He has also gone to school and is a certified canine handler is a juvenile officer.

Using Part time or Full time is weak defense.

The Sheriff of a County Doesn’t need to be a Police officer by State Law.

  15. Been trying to contact Tony call Tori for a yard saying I am going to vote for him and I would like to display his yard sale in my backyard someone contact me my number is 815-529-8754 bypass
