In his speech, Biden touted universal pre-school for three and four year-olds.
Secret Service members were near as Biden left the gym stage.
Combining that with free junior college, would make seventeen years government-paid education.
Among the honored guests present were Jesse Jackson, Members of Congress, all sorts of Democratic Party Senators and State Reps., the two top officials from Scott Forge and Board members of the McHenry County Foundation.

I would NOT characterize it as a non-political event despite what the White House or local Democrats say since the whole purpose of his visit was to up-talk/sell the infrastructure bills which aren’t quite bipartisan.

They both graduated and walked out without a penny of student debt.
They also made sure they were working full-time throughout college too – as they both went through on-line for profit education after realizing state schools did nothing to prepare them for jobs and/or adulthood!
My doing so also taught them to work for what they wanted in life as well as they gained valuable skills that did not wait until they graduated and put them ahead a bit.
It is what I wanted for them to give them their last clean shot.
Yes, I gave up a lot and have not even had a vacation since early 2000’s, but in my mind, it was a huge accomplishment for all of us!
No regrets as regret means it’s too late!
