Tribune Doesn’t Cover Biden the Way His Handlers Hoped

Take a look at the front page of the Chicago Tribune:

Chicago Tribune front page the day after Crystal Lake visit.

My friend former State Rep. Penny Pullen observed,

So Kamala goes to El Paso to view the crisis 800 miles away, in the Rio Grand Valley.

And her superior goes to McHenry County to view the crisis in Chicago.

John Kass agrees from his new platform, JohnKassNews.com,

It’s too bad that President Biden isn’t holding his event in Chicago, the Democratic Chicago that voted overwhelmingly for him, and which has just suffered one of the most violent weekends in its history.

Reports were that 104 people were shot over the Independence Day weekend in the street gang wars, including children, and 19 were killed…

Illinois Democrats insist it isn’t a political event, though Biden is expected to be joined by our own grinning Gov. Commodius Maximus, and Democratic U.S. Reps. Lauren Underwood and Sean Casten, in the only collar county that Biden did not win in November.

“The event is not a political event,” said Kristina Zahorik, chair of the Democratic Party of McHenry County, in a written statement reported by the Daily Herald.

“We are excited, however, that the president is highlighting our great community college and thank him and our Illinois Democratic delegation for supporting building back better with investments in the American Rescue Plan, the American Infrastructure Plan, and the American Family Plan.”

Thanks Kristina, for listing all the non-political plans that center around Democrats spending trillions, spiking inflation, just so they might buy votes.

Unlike other media outlets (see Tweet post), the Tribune photographer showed the demonstrators anyone driving on Route 14 could have seen on Wednesday.

The caption read, “Protestors gather outside of McHenry /county College where President Joe Biden spoke on Wednesday in c?rystal Lake.”

  1. Commodious Maximus, LOL! 👍👍

    Tribune? Hello…?

    ✌️😎

  2. Another of Obama’s sons behaving badly spoils Biden’s photo op and Biden ignores it all.

  3. Some people are acting like he flew into O’Hare and then flew out to Crystal Lake for the purpose of addressing violent crime in a safe neighborhood.

That was never the point of his visit.

It was always billed as an event to discuss the American Families Plan.

Whether you think he talked about the wrong issue is another matter than feigning disbelief that he didn’t go to Chicago or talk about crime, because that was never the point of the visit.

The comparison to Harris’s “border” visit is not apt because she went to El Paso to discuss the situation at the border yet she stayed away from the action.

Biden was visiting the suburbs to talk about infrastructure.

He just flew into O’Hare (which is barely in Chicago) first because that’s a big airport.

    Apples to oranges.

Also, I’m glad he’s not addressing violent crime because whatever he proposes will almost certainly make things worse.

I’m sure Kass will dislike whatever Biden proposes.

  4. Prekwinkle, another ages demo whore. A quadroon, but not a lesbian!

  5. Lauren Underwood was probably behind the visit, after her endorsed candidates losing several key races in the April local elections, she and her supporters are trying desperately to build support in McHenry County.

    Stay Free McHenry County!

She’s already touted that she procured COVID relief funds for MCC (a school that just raised the tax levy pre pandemic, as well as the tuition), so yes, I’m wondering exactly why the junior college needs those funds?

I’m not saying that there maybe some valid use, however, I’d like to know what that is.

At face value, those funds seem more like an in kind donation to Underwood’s campaign fund.

The college has been successful in increasing enrollment, which speaks more to the frugal nature of McHenry County residents, than anything the Democrats have a part in, especially since it’s been happening years before Underwood scoped out MCC as one more thing she can falsely claim some sort of credit for.

One more question, do the funds parents receive from the American Families Plan replace the support some of the parents with children in the daycare presently receive from welfare and other sources?
