With Thursday morning’s Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee hearing on the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act scheduled for 9AM CDT, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, who teaches at Cal-Berkeley (figures), promotes socialism, with PRO Act as centerpiece first step to changing the workplace.
The real threat to 1099 workers, particularly freelancers, gig economy workers and just about all independent contractors the ABC test of the PRO Act can cause, is glossed over as “misclassification”.
