Looking at Unrest and Disparate Congressional Reactions

White House pushes probes “Capitol riot,” but continues to ignore the post-Floyd riots

Loot businesses, burn buildings, injure scores of people and that is your 1st Amendment Constitutional Right to protest. But protest government and the Congress treats it as a high crime and misdemeanor. The hypocrisy of how Congress ignores one greater and real  crime — the months-long violence of Black Lives Matter protests after George Floyd’s death — and instead focus only on the lesser violence — several hours of protests by Americans who believe they have the right to challenge government injustice and lies

By Ray Hanania

After George Floyd was accidentally killed by an irresponsible Police Officer, Derek Chauvin, real rioters to the streets in cities across America and looted, vandalized and burned down thousands of businesses. Scores of innocent bystanders were injured.

And of course, not a peep from the White House or House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to investigate and hold the criminals accountable.

A segment of a massive pro-Trump rally and anti-Biden protest in Washington D.C. on January 6 gets out of hand illegally destroying property and threatening some members of Congress and it is suddenly an “insurrection.”

A “riot.”

A conspiracy to destroy Democracy and forcibly takeover government.

It was bad enough we had to listen to the biased news media whine about the Jan. 6 protestors and be silent about the Floyd rioters.

Less than 10 percent of the looters during the 2020 Summer were arrested and most had their charges dismissed by liberal lawmakers under pressure from the liberal news media.

Even the Arab American and Muslim community was shamefully silent in the face of the post-Floyd killing looting, rioting and violence that consumed the entire summer of 2020, even though Arab and Muslim businesses were among the primary targets.

Why were they silent?

Because they hate Trump more than they love their own people.

More than a dozen Arab American owned businesses were destroyed and burned down during the 2020 Floyd riots and nothing has ever been done to help those business owners get back on their feet.

The Arab activists are concerned about jeopardizing support from the Black Lives Matter movement which has been outspoken in support of Palestinian rights.

Palestinians, Muslims and Christians, are being oppressed and deserve to have voices defend their human rights, but not at the expense of turning a blind eye to the violence against Arab businesses right here in America.

Why were Arab and Muslim businesses targeted by the Floyd rioters?

Because Floyd was turned in to police by an employee when he tried to cash for the second time a counterfeit 20 dollar bill, at an Arab American owned grocery store in Minneapolis.

This morning, Congress convened a hearing into the Jan. 6 riots, but not one word about the post-Floyd rampage that the hypocritical far left hopes will be pushed into forgotten memory.

If you didn’t think this was all about politics, all you had to do was turn to Pelosi who appointed two Republicans to the “Capitol Riot” hearings, Congressman Adam Kinzinger, of Channahon, and Congresswoman Liz Cheney, the daughter of un-convicted war criminal Dick Cheney who led America into the Iraq War to avenge his personal angers and boost up the profits of his mega war contracting firm Halliburton.

Cheney made sure to boost up the benefits to his daughter, Liz, putting her into office in 2016 in Wyoming, a state where it is easy to manipulate voting results.

Kinzinger and Cheney have ingratiated themselves with the Pelosi crowd by attacking Trump and helping to distract the country from President Biden’s many shortcomings and his son’s questionable foreign contract work.

Pelosi has no qualms about exploiting Kinzinger and Cheney by appointing them to the House Select Committee to make it look like the “Capitol Riot” hearings are “bi-partisan.”

And they don’t mind being used, either.

The point I am making is that Kinzinger and Cheney, and Pelosi, too, don’t care about principle.

They care only about politics.

They don’t care about protecting the U.S. Constitution, they only care about exploiting the national polemic divide for their own personal political benefit.

Kinzinger and Cheney should both be booted out of their Congressional seats for pandering to the Democrats in order to pursue personal, political vengeance against Trump and the Trump Republicans.

I don’t know if Trump will run for President again or not.

It doesn’t matter. Trump isn’t the issue any longer, but he certainly is being used as an excuse to justify the political extremism of the far Left.

The truth is, Trump is also being used by his foes to fuel the fires of anger and division.

The bottom line is this.

If Congress feels so strongly that the so-called “Capitol Riots” must be investigated, protests that surely got out of hand that have been politicized into an “insurrection” to beat up on Trump and his supporters, surely, they could also take time to investigate the looting, the violence and the destruction of businesses and public property by anti-Trump protestors, too.

The fact that they are only looking at one side of all this is absolute proof that the really don’t care about violence or protecting our Constitution.

All that Pelosi and her political cohorts care about is using any event to twist into a political weapon to bludgeon Trump and their own critics.

That is pretty pathetic.

  1. Who is the Capitol Hill cowardly cop that MURDERED the unarmed White woman Ashli Babbitt and why is he
    being protected ?

Haninia conveniently omits this atrocity from his essay.

    #sayhername

  2. Hanania, it’s called a double standard.

That’s why the MSM is hated and ignored.

Let them beat the drums to get more sheep vaxxed.

  3. oh no not a blogger calling them hypocrites! I’m sure the government which is controlled by one party is scared. Yup, they’re probably crapping and farding all over themselves cuz someone called out their HYPOCRISY. OH NO NOT HYPOCRISY OH THE HORROR NOOOOOOOOOOOO DON’T CALL ME A HYPOCRITE NOOOOOOOOO I HAVE EVERY LEVER OF POWER AND CAN THROW YOU IN A CONCENTRATION CAMP YOU CAN’T JUST CALL ME A HYPOCRITE NOOOOOOOO THAT WILL RUIN ME NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CAN HAVE MY FRIENDS ON SOCIAL MEDIA JUST BLOCK THIS ARTICLE AND SEARCH ENGINES NOT DISPLAY IT AND HARDLY ANYBODY WILL SEE IT BUT NOOOOO DON’T POST IT I’M SO SCARED NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Yeah, I bet they will change their ways. I bet they will be more impartial now. I bet they will try to see things your way now. I bet they won’t be such hypocrites NOW, especially after someone CALLED THEM OUT! OOOOOOOOH WATCH OUT! SOMEONE IS CALLING THEM OUT FOR THEIR HYPOCRISY!!!! OOOOOH TAKE THAT ONE PARTY GOVERNMENT HEHEHE YOU HAVE TANKS AND SPY AGENCIES BUT YOU WILL TREMBLE BEFORE A BLOGGER CALLING YOU A HYPOCRITE HEHEHEHEHEHE. Yeah, you really got them by calling them hypocrites. . . They are shaking!

These Republicans are pathetic. Wake me up when something interesting happens if you know what I’m saying…

  4. The three capital insurrectionists sentenced so far have received probation, 6 months, and 8 months.

Three stories above this is that of a guy arrested with a hammer and a loaded firearm which he, as a felon, could not lawfully possess due to a restriction against felons’ 2d amendment rights.

No evidence that he harmed or tried to harm anyone or anything, but he was present during a riot.

    1 year federal prison.

    Biden justice department.

  5. The police chief of Chicago recently said that there were about 90 persons charged with murder that are not locked up waiting for trial.

Thanks to prosecutors and/or judges these persons are out free.

Back in June, three persons attempted murder on an Aurora police officer and they were bailed out and walking around.

  6. Okay, whataboutists of the GQP:

there is an important difference between the January 6th insurrection and the Floyd protests, even those that turned violent or involved looting.

The Floyd protests were generally lawful assemblies that here and there devolved into criminal conduct — some mob action, at best.

That conduct should be punished like any other crime.

The peaceful assemblies should not have been met with violence by law enforcement.

There, law enforcement treated the protesters like criminals even when they were acting perfectly within the law and within their rights.

Contrast that with the January 6th insurrection.

The insurrectionists intended to violate the law by “taking the Capitol,” not just protest.

The insurrectionists planned and executed an unlawful and violent (deadly) attack on our own Capitol building, with the intent to stop a lawful process of certifying a lawful election.

This was not mob action, but a conspiracy to commit a crime.

That insurrection was not just unlawful, not just criminal, but was overt sedition.

    Insurrection.

    Treason.

An attempt to interfere with our highest level of government and our constitutional processes. Unprovoked violence against law enforcement.

It is criminal from its inception to its execution.

Those who are outraged by the January 6th insurrectionists have every right to prosecute and punish anyone who would turn against our government, our constitution, our rule of law, democratic process and peaceful transitional of power.

Just as you have the right to prosecute and punish the Floyd protesters who looted or vandalized property.

    There is nothing hypocritical there.

But there is a universe of difference between the two events, and although both are bad, only one is treason.

The guy who stole a pair of shoes from the Nike store is an opportunist and a thief.

The insurrectionist who tried to interfere with our democracy and a lawful election is a traitor.

So if you want the rule of law, and you want law and order, and you expect law enforcement to enforce the law, you wouldn’t diminish the gravity of the January 6th attempt to overthrow the law of the land.

  7. Have there been indictments for sedition, insurrection or treason?

    If so, please provide details.

  8. A lot of things pointing at Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn as being a liar and fabricating his nonsensical story / claims that he recently made at the recent Jan 6 hearing. Including photo evidence of being Pelosi’s puppet and involved in radical movements.

    https://www.chicksonright.com/blog/2021/07/29/real-identity-comes-out-of-capitol-cop-who-lied-during-jan-6-hearing/

Entirely plausible that the two officers that “committed suicide” were killed by someone there.

Sicknick’s death was said to be natural causes but I don’t trust that either.

As it stands, it is looking like Capitol Police or someone involved with them killed at least 4 people (3 officers) and Ashlii Babbitt.

No idea how anyone can trust this Jan. 6 committee.

    Seems like a cover-up.

  9. Furthermore, even Snopes acknowledges that the photo of Pelosi’s son-in-law is real; The one with the stupid fake “Q Shaman” idiot in the viking outfit.

But he is “a documentary filmmaker and member of the press”. I call BS.

Think about it: Viking man, ex-military, is captured with Pelosi’s son-in-law, among the of thousands who are there, let right into the door, press members right there to take photos, allowed access right into the chambers for a photo shoot.

And people don’t think that it was a set-up? Anyone who can’t see it is dumb as a box of rocks.

  10. Ashley Babbit jumped through a broken window leading to an area where a number of Congresspeople were trapped while wearing a backpack that could have contained a bomb a la the Boston Marathon bomb.

The police office was correct to shoot her dead in her tracks.

  11. The Congresswhores will some day be tossed into the Atlantic…… 75 miles off shore.

  12. “Ashley Babbit jumped through a broken window leading to an area where a number of Congresspeople were trapped while wearing a backpack that could have contained a bomb a la the Boston Marathon bomb.

The police office was correct to shoot her dead in her tracks.”

She didn’t go through the window so you technically would be lying once again.

  13. You hear one of the guys in the group she was with shout to the comrades like 2 or 3 times that there was a gun.

In fact, she would have seen it, too. And she was in the military.

    She was a big girl.

So, she made her own choice. 🤷‍♂️

    ✌️😎

  14. Sure. It was a stupid choice too.

I don’t think anyone is debating that.

Seems though that most people want the killer to be identified and for a trial to be reopened on the matter.

It’s not that hard to understand and it’s not even that unreasonable.

We seem to be having trials for murder by law enforcement all of the time.

You can’t have a standard for one group of people and ignore the other.

The Jan. 6 commission is nothing but a cover-up for something else and bringing this officer into question would probably shed some light on what really happened there.

  15. Prez, all that does is set the officer and their family in the path of whack jobs.

It was regrettable, but a righteous shoot all the same.

I don’t care who it was, frankly.

I think they deserve protection, while Derek Chauvin is a perfect example of an officer who didn’t.

    ✌️😎

  16. The Commission is what it is.

Probably better ratings than for the Olympic

    Damning praise.

We’ll see what fresh hell they want to turn over, and we’ll see what haystacks they ignore.

Then we’ll see if Cheney or Kinzinger surprise by diving into a few stacks, or if they’re allowed to.

Then we’ll see what McCarthy does.

He’s already done too much or too little, depending one’s viewpoint.

    He just seems ineffective.

    ✌️😎
