Prohibition of Excessive Accumulation of Township Funds Expanded to Include General Assistance — 10 Comments

  1. Because they can. It’s all about feeling good but with our money 💵

  2. Actually I think you have to be a legal citizen to get General Assistance.

  3. Illegal aliens aren’t eligible for General Assistance. (305 ILCS 5/1-11).

  4. The big scam is how the attorneys make money.

A tax payer group sues and gets their taxes reduced.

The following year the township levy is raised to max.

The same lawyer uses prior ruling to sue again.

Because they are paid out of the following year taxes the treasurer is the only one eho knows and the township cits no check and the town board foesnt even vote on it.

Ghe law needs to be changed to reflect yhat a settlement or a judgment on excess accumulation will result in a reduction to the Ptell limit!

  5. Innocent Primate lies.

A whole family in McHenry Township, from El Salvador, here illegally, got Township cash to pay their rent to me.

The check came from the township.

This family is also getting Medicaid, SNAP, and free loads on public school.

    10 of them!

  6. Illinois’ Township Government’s General Assistance programs?

Like townships them selves, tax rip-offs!

The administration cost is $7 to each $1 of aid delivered, if it’s delivered at all.

Illinois is the only state that has Township General Assistance.

This bill does nothing to protect taxpayers.

  7. With the County having $6.7 million to distribute for back rent for anyone, I do not understand why township money would be spent for that purpose.

  8. Dingo

    I didn’t lie.

    Read the law.

If GA was provided to persons in this country illegally, the township erred.

Being a good citizen, you should have refused to accept taxpayer funds expended, in your opinion, in error.

    Did you ?

  9. Dingo profits from our destruction.

Innocent ape covers for Dingo and and the invaders.
