With Cruz’s departure from U.S. Senate Republican primary field, Bobby Piton only Republican candidate from Chicagoland suburbs
Late Sunday afternoon, the following tweet appeared concerning Oak Lawn Community High School District #229 Board Member Rob Cruz, entering the U.S. House race for the Republican nomination in the 3rd Congressional District to challenge freshman Democrat Congresswoman Marie Newman in a National Republican Congressional Committee targeted race:
With the California Target Book’s BOT tweet, and listing Rob Cruz’s U.S. Senate fundraising through Q2, 2021, this is talking about the same Rob Cruz who was running for the U.S. Senate from Illinois.
With Cruz’s departure from the Republican primary field for U.S. Senate, the remaining candidates are now 2020 Senate candidate Peggy Hubbard, and Geneva’s Bobby Piton, thus far in the field for the nomination to challenge first-term U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D, Hoffman Estates) next year.
With the 3rd Quarter now halfway finished and with Piton’s viral moment with Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R, TX-02) at the Illinois Republican Party’s fundraiser in Rosemont Thursday night, Piton appears to be poised to immediately capitalize with Cruz’s departure from the U.S. Senate contest.
Cruz’s departure leaves Piton as the only Republican U.S. Senate candidate from the Chicagoland suburbs.
McHenry County Blog has reached out to Cruz’s campaign for a formal announcement/statement, but the information contained in the California Target Book’s BOT tweet is sufficient the FEC filing is genuine.

What is with the skiing excellence, he seems to be a show off like Adam Kinzinger wanting to sway the public like he is some hero soldier and Cruz wants us to think it is important to have an Olympic wannabe as a prerequisite.
My point is Bobby is for the people and this guy reeks of; “I am a cool guy/politician!”

please excuse my comment on the ski jumper wannabe that is from the McHenry skiing, where would that be as it looks as if it is a part of Cruz’s website, sadly this blog does not allow editing as I realized that format was a bit confusing

If you would like a donation from me, you must take a moment to tell me why a person in another state should contribute to an election or political activity in your state, as that would seem to be interfering with the election process for your state.
While, I may agree with your opinions, if the voters in your state do not select candidates, like yourself, who advocate for the rule of law and our Constitution, I fear no amount of money will help them.
If they do not want changes in their state’s leadership, election process, laws, secure borders and a reasonable tax structure, why should I be financially responsible for educating them on their life choices that perhaps would improve their state?
