LITH Police Offer Addiction Assistance to Resident — 4 Comments

  1. Was the addiction to steroids or gay porn, the LITH police could help by supplying it to the poor addict. Their cops have a surfeit of both and can easily spare some.

    Addiction is not funny or deserving of ignorant statements such as those of Cuck…err Cuke.

    The McHenry County “A Way Out” program started May 1, 2017.

    There are many counties that have this program.

    A Way Out – McHenry County offers substance abuse assessment 24/7 to anyone in McHenry County that wishes to seek recovery. 

    Appropriate inpatient or outpatient referral and placement are determined by assessment and based on availability.  

    If you are unable to pay for treatment due to lack of insurance or financial resources, you will not be turned away from participation in the program. 

    A Way Out – McHenry County works with providers that are able to accept a number of different insurance plans and accommodate those without insurance. 

    The program was developed to create additional treatment access points, reduce crime, reduce substance-related harms, and re-frame the role law enforcement plays in community safety.

    Through the Program, people seeking help for their substance use can go to one of the police entry points and request help.
