On a personal note, my handling of assessment appeals for mainly homeowners in Crystal Lake’s Coventry subdivision led me to introduce House Bill 666 in 1973.
Upon passage, future Board of Review members had to be able to pass a test indicating they had some semblance of knowledge about the subject.
After it took effect, I took the test and got 92%.
