On a day when my son’s wet hair froze between McHenry West High School and our car, it seem appropriate to take a look at spring.

Here are lilacs that flower outside our kitchen window.

Lilacs

I can’t wait.

Zero is too cold for me.

On Veterans Day, red poppies were used to solicit funds for those who served in our Armed Forces.

That very day, I snapped these pictures filled with red.

The lilacs leaves on this bush, seen on top, have been turning since September 10^th.

I first caught a brilliantly red Euonymus bush on October 18^th.

Both of the bushes show here are next to our home in pretty sheltered spots.

One is outside our kitchen window.

The other, outside our sun porch.
