Yesterday teens from the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake drove off to Minnesota on this year’s mission trip.

I saw a man wearing this t-shirt and discovered it was the one for this year. I share it below:

Something appropriate to the First United Methodist Church’s high school mission trip uses each of the letters in the destination state’s name, Minnesota.

The Bible verse is from 1 Peter 4:10:

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

By now, the caravan has passed this Minnesota rest stop sign:

This Minnesota rest stop sign is in Wisconsin right before the Mississippi River.

I found this tee shirt on a high schooler sitting on the floor of McHenry West High School with some other girls and asked her if I could take a photo.

She agreed and you see 1st Corinthians 12:27 on its back, along with a map of West Virginia with Logan’s location identified.

The verse is,

“You are the body of Christ and each one of you is part of it.”

No Christian was this bold when I was in high school.

Since we attend the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake (acronym “FUMC”), I asked which Methodist Church sponsored the trip.

“The First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake,” she replied to my surprise.  That’s where we attend.  I guess we missed the service where the teens reported back or I didn’t retain the destination of the mission.
